Miss 12 Hours 2014

Logan Palmer

Logan was born and raised in Avon Park, Florida. She is 23-years-old and recently graduated from Florida State University with a major in History and a minor in Mass Media Communications.

To Logan, the 12 Hours of Sebring is more than just a race; for her, it is a family tradition. For years Logan’s family has attended the race. Her father, Mark Palmer, who passed away in 2006, was one the biggest fans of 12 hours of Sebring. She shared, “he is the main reason why I wanted to be Miss 12 Hours of Sebring – I know he would be thrilled!”

Logan attended Avon Park High School where she was a member of the swim and weightlifting teams as well as volleyball and softball. She was selected for the All-Heartland Softball team her sophomore and junior year. Throughout high school she was an active member of the Future Farmers of America and Student Government, and during her senior year was elected Class President.

Upon graduating Logan moved to Tallahassee and began her studies at Florida State University. “I have been a die-hard Seminole fan my entire life. Many of my family members, including my dad, attended FSU, which ultimately influenced me to become a Nole,” she said.

While at FSU, Logan was an active member of the Delta Delta Delta sorority. She was elected by her fellow members as External Philanthropy chair both her junior and senior year.

In the fall of her sophomore year Logan was elected as an intern for the Charlie Crist for U.S. Senate campaign where she coordinated with other students to promote the students for Crist campaign strategy.

In the spring of her senior year she interned at a local radio station, Freedom 93.3 fm. At the radio station she edited and wrote news stories, assisted in voicing production and wrote and recorded her own radio commercials.

During her senior year Logan was selected to be a Morale Captain for Dance Marathon, a nationwide movement that raises funds for the Children’s Miracle Network.

Following her stint at this year's 12 Hours, Logan will head to Atlanta to take a job in sales and marketing with Veeam Software. The international nature of the race may well be a natural fit with her new vocation. Veeam, a leader in back-up and replication software, also works with customers around the world.

Logan is ecstatic to represent the track at the 62nd Annual Mobil 1 12 Hours of Sebring Fueled by Fresh From Florida. “I feel so blessed to have been chosen to represent the 12 hours of Sebring. I can’t wait till March!”
