2012 MISS 12 HOURS OF SEBRING
HANNAH LEE SHOOP

Hannah was born in Arcadia, Florida becoming a sixth generation Floridian from DeSoto County. She has lived in Sebring all her life and graduated from Sebring High School in 2009. Hannah is better identified throughout Highlands County for having a ball on the court than a tiara on her head. She was a three-sport standout in high school. Her senior year she was honored by The Tampa Tribune - Highlands Today as the "2009 All Heartland Volleyball Player of the Year" and the "2009 All Heartland Girls Basketball Player of the Year". Hannah received the National Scholar/Athlete Award for Academic and Athletic Excellence by the United States Army; she was a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Homecoming Court. Despite her competitive nature, she is known for her great attitude. She is always smiling and upbeat.

Hannah is currently a senior at Florida State University double majoring in History and Social Science Education. She is a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority, and is employed by Trinity Catholic School as head coach of the girl's basketball and softball teams. After gradation, Hannah hopes to teach and coach at the middle school level and continue her education by receiving her Master degree in the future.

"I am very excited to be the 2012 Miss 12 Hours, and to be apart of the 60th Anniversary of the 12 Hours of Sebring! I can't even remember a year where my family hasn't been out at the track during the race time. It is such an honor to be able to represent the race and Highlands County. I've been look forward to this for many years!"
